On October 8th, our crew managed traffic control at US101 and Pacific Way, earning high praise from both the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) and industry professionals on site. An ODOT Region inspector, with over 20 years of experience building, maintaining, and managing traffic signals, took the time to highlight the team’s performance—calling it “one of the best setups I’ve ever seen for a traffic signal shutdown flagging operation.” From signage and lane closures to work zones, tapers, and clear flagger communication, every detail reflected excellence and precision. The recognition reinforces a key truth in our industry: effective traffic control is critical to every successful project. As the ODOT manager noted, “A well-executed traffic control team is just as critical as the construction crew itself.
