On September 16th, 2025, at the busy intersection of Moraga Way and Hall in Orinda, CA, a routine job-site inspection turned into a powerful reminder of why safety is more than just a policy—it’s a mindset. Thanks to the sharp instincts and dedication of one of our own, Joseph, a life was saved.

During the site visit, a team member from Flock Safety briefly glanced left, then right, and unknowingly stepped directly into oncoming traffic. In a split second, Joseph reacted—reaching out and pulling his colleague back to safety just as a car approached. What could have been a tragic accident was avoided because of Joseph’s quick thinking and unwavering commitment to keeping people safe.

The individual whose life Joseph saved later wrote in heartfelt gratitude:

“I am writing you this email to express my eternal gratitude. I’m not saying this figuratively—I literally mean this. Joseph saved my life this morning. His quick thinking and safe mindset are the reason why I’m able to write you this email.”
