Annual Participation in Grammy Awards
Feb 11 2007 TMI is proud to play a critical role (our 4th year straight) at the Grammy Awards, which take place at the Los Angeles Staples Center. Our teamwork with the Los Angeles Traffic Action Team enable the Recording Academy's Security Division to maintain the highest level of security around the Staples Center and Los Angeles Convention Center. A perimeter was estiblashed that effectively closed more than 10 square blocks. A comibnation of portable water-filled and concrete k-rail prohibited access from public motorists, and forced all attendees to enter through multiple checkpoints, controlled by the LAPD and Bomb Squad. Through the use of custom signs, messageboards, and other equipment, traffic congestion was minimaized to furthest extent possible, assuring the public's content, if not support, for this international event.
